So it’s interesting to think about what scenes are being filmed in the Sanctum right now if Cumberbatch is not present. It is worth noting, though, that while Spider-Man: No Way Home is reportedly filming on a Sanctum Sanctorum set, Cumberbatch himself is in London right now in the midst of production on next year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. If true, this only serves as further confirmation that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange is appearing in the film. The Leaks - The Spider-Man: No Way Home news Twitter account recently tweeted a report (via Atlanta Filming) that says the production is currently filming on an “interior stage” built to be a replica of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum. A recent batch of leaks from the No Way Home production continues to tease the involvement of 2 notable superhero actors as well. The highly-anticipated Marvel sequel won’t just include returning cast members from the most recent live-action Spider-Man films, like Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, but also actors from other MCU franchises and Sony’s previous Spider-Man films. With all of these extra activities, it’s very tempting to push the completion bar on the main menu to 100%.Spider-Man: No Way Home is going to feature some very familiar faces. It could be anything from a piece of a villain’s suit to his old web shooters, but there are a few surprises in the collection which will interest marvel fans. Each contains a trinket from his life as Spider-Man. For example, Peter can collect 55 of his old backpacks spread across the city. The world is packed full of collectables and optional missions which are anything but a chore to complete. Catches Thieves, Just Like Fliesįollowing completion of the story, there is still no shortage of things to do in Manhattan. Whilst these missions aren’t particularly challenging, they drag on and even overstay their welcome at times. The only issue I had with the game’s mechanics were a few stealth-only missions which are necessary to complete the story. Any one combat gadget only becomes more effective with use, giving a sense of constant progression. Spider-Man swings faster with each level, and new suits and abilities can be unlocked as the game progresses. The upgrade system enhances the feel of gameplay as the player levels up. Traversal is one of the game's strongest points. One gadget that I found particularly useful was the web-bomb, which tangles large groups of enemies in the web, allowing the player to take on a dozen enemies at once. In addition, Spidey can use a range of gadgets to bring down his foes. Combat is fast-paced and fluid, integrating both melee and web attacks into an expansive system. Whilst there is a fast travel system, I found myself hardly using it was always infinitely more fun to swing across the rooftops to my destination. Traversal is the game’s best example of this. One of Insomniac’s strongest points as a studio is their ability to create incredibly satisfying mechanics. Mechanically, Marvel’s Spider-Man is a joy to play. Culminating in an impactful ending, this is one of the best Spider-Man stories I have ever experienced. Insomniac has created a gripping story portraying Peter Parker’s struggle to manage increased responsibility in both his own life and as Spider-Man. Mr Negative serves as the catalyst to bring Peter Parker’s and Spider-Man’s worlds crashing together. Negative acts as the game's primary antagonist Peter’s relationships with characters like Mary Jane, Norman Osborn, Aunt May and his roster of villains are well established from the beginning, meaning the story can focus more on the introduction of its primary antagonist, Mr Negative. Eight years of history brings with it a host of benefits to the story. This allows for an interesting take on the character that casual fans of the movies have not yet seen. Peter Parker is a 23-year-old college graduate who is no stranger to the mask, having been Spider-Man for eight years. The story ditches the played-out origin, but at the same time, opts for a much older Spider-Man than is usually portrayed. The writing team at Insomniac have crafted yet another one for the books. One of the reasons for Spider-Man’s popularity is the endearing nature of his character and the emotionally resonant stories that stem from it. This stellar optimization makes for an incredibly smooth experience. In my time with the game, I have never noticed dips in frame rate, even during busy fight sequences. Time of day can be set to afternoon, sunset or night, with each setting giving the city a unique aesthetic. Visually, New York is stunning even on a standard PS4. Marvel landmarks appear all over Manhattan
